4-H is an educational program for students ages 9-19. It is provided through the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension with the cooperation of Douglas County Government, the Board of Education, and the United States Department of Agriculture.

The 4-H staff will be meeting with your child once a month. Our goal is to enhance and increase their interest in science and language arts. We hope to help your child become more knowledgeable and self-confident by developing leadership skills, public speaking skills, and by becoming more actively involved in the world around him/her through community service projects.

4-H'ers participate in project work. They chose a topic from their "Friends" magazine on which they give demonstration skills, talks, and exhibits. They may also attend special conferences, workshops, camp and summer programs.

Feel free to call us at 770-920-7224 with any questions. We look forward to working with you.
