WHO ARE WE?
The Chapel Hill Middle School Parent-Teacher-Student-Organization (CHMS PTSO) is a supportive arm of the CHMS administration. It is comprised of parents, teachers, faculty/staff, and students working for the betterment of CHMS.
WHAT DOES THE PTSO DO?
The PTSO supports many student and teacher related activities. Our efforts are aimed at the academic enrichment and social enhancement of our students. Examples of things we do include:
- Fundraising for connection classes
- Teacher mini grants that aid in classroom instruction
- Event coordination for Teacher/Staff Appreciation Luncheons and the 8th Grade Dance
- Volunteer recruitment for Book Fairs
- Spring Musical
- Test proctoring
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
You can get involved in two ways: Membership and/or Volunteering.
MEMBERSHIP
The PTSO is open to all CHMS families as well as to our faculty/staff. Membership in the PTSO is $10.00. The $10.00 membership fee provides a 1-year membership for an entire family or household. All proceeds from membership fees go directly to CHMS related activities. As a membership benefit, your student(s) will receive valuable incentives! Each student will receive coupons for:
✔ Free Admission to one Home Football Game
✔ Free Admission to one Home Basketball Game
✔ Two "Eat Lunch With A Friend" Passes
VOLUNTEERING
Our volunteers are the key to making CHMS a better place for our staff and students. Volunteer as little or as much as you are able to. We welcome any time, talent, and/or support you can provide during the school year.
