This summer, a group of Chapel Hill Middle School students traveled to Italy and Greece on an educational adventure led by Dr. Moncrief and chaperone Coach Lougher. The students explored iconic landmarks like the Roman Colosseum and the Parthenon in Athens.
A highlight of the trip came at the historic Olympic Stadium in Athens, where students made a meaningful connection between the birthplace of the Olympic Games and their own school's Olympic-themed traditions! Coach Lougher commented, "Standing in the presence of where the first modern games began in 1896 with CHMS students holding their Olympic school shirts was a spiritual moment that I will never forget."
