CHMS FOCUS After-School
CHMS has received a federal grant to enable the development of an academic needs/based after school intervention program. The program is open to students who meet eligibility criteria. Eligibility criteria primarily centers on identified skill deficits in the area of reading, writing, and mathematics. Currently, the program is operating at capacity, but a waiting list is always available. If you feel your student might qualify for the program, feel free to contact the program director.

Car Rider Procedures
We are very excited for the school year! Please read the revised car rider procedures so that you can ensure a safe and timely process when picking up your child in the afternoons.
Entering:
You must enter at the traffic light near the Academy. The middle school entrance is for buses only. Please form two lanes of traffic and be courteous when merging at the stop sign. Your cooperation is essential to the pick-up process; otherwise, the traffic on Chapel Hill Road will back-up causing further delays. Be aware of incoming/outgoing buses. Please DO NOT block the Middle School drive entrance (the curve in the car rider loop).
Please do not park in the front or side of the Academy and wait or come get your child. The procedure is ALL car riders must be picked up through the car-rider lane.
Exiting:
After your student has loaded into your car, you may carefully pull into the left lane to exit. Please be cautious of other cars doing the same, and as you turn left to go to the light, be aware of cars exiting the lot to the left of the Academy and take turns merging.
Please be patient! Your student's safety is our number one priority. With your cooperation, we will get them to you as quickly as possible.
